The title is in Polish and means "Hey my little flower", but mind you, this is to speak in adorable and affectionate way,
not to only describe thing that is small, since well...Rose wasn't small even as a Skorupi, guys- almost one meter lenght
of a scorpion o.o'
 it just sounds most likely how I feel about my terryfying scorpion with calm nature

I promissed myself to not procrastinate some things I'm working on already, BUUUT...

Omega Ruby, why you gave me that shiny, why...?!

YESS IT'S MY ROSE, my second in one day shiny I mentioned in latest journal:

First of all, please don't get mad at me: I tried 3 or 4 times to chain shiny Electrike, over 17 repels used since the encounter there
is rudiculous encounter rate there and still nothing'
I also tried to get shiny Marill while HP EV training, but at last few 3 stars Huge power females send to WT would help some ppl breed
good competitive one I hope.

Rose obviously, like most of wild shiny, has bad nature...which is calm, lowering her attack, buut she has raised sp.def which
makes her better defensive AWESOME EURYPTID THAT ADAPTED TO LIVE ON LAND AND CAN CRUSH A CAR WITH NO PROBLEM.

YEAAAH I also realized that I can love her EVEN MORE 8D

"Every rose has its thorn" IT'S TRUE if we talk about in-game nature.
Mind you all, typical sweepers are boring for me, I enjoy Pokemon which need patience and fuuun over torturing your opponent
OOOPS I MEAN I am peaceful and love to defend and torture others on the battlefield teehee),
Rose has lowered attack, but wait, her nature is CALM.

Non aggressive, calm, but not docile, bashful or timid scorpion. AAWEEESOOOME

No, she won't rip apart or sting with her venom a victim like we would imaginate Drapion from horror:

Pardon that description has so many stupid plz accounts and emoticons, but I am acting seriously so silly around my evolved
shiny skorupi now. Maybe I loved Rose more as Skorupi because of totally bug sound in amie AND her red color, but I can just draw
her and not care she's more of a pink in game(but in previous games shiny Drapion was more reddish in color THO).

Drapion is one of my most fav Pokemon, even if I don't love it equally like other favourite Pokemon, because its design is a bit
too Farfetch'd, some ppl even call it muppet scorpion (say what....?) and in anime Drapion was just fat :/
Ok maybe Paul's Drapion was pregnant female overthinking all the time.

I freakin' love it's most likely based on a sea scorpion, an euryptid, but adapted to live on land and haven't changed since
OVER 400 MILION YEARS(or at last, from over 300 or 250 mya and survive extinction). And it's STILL HUGE SUCCESSFUL PREDATOR.

AND ROSE IS FEMALE. Female scorpions are typically bigger than males. YESS~ (Headcannon I've updated on my headcanons list:
Pokedex size is an average size, it's calculated from smaller and bigger speciments, so sure, there are typically smaller
and bigger ones because of gender diference like with turtles and as here, scorpions)
If she would be real OC, as Skorupi she isn't juvenile or young adult, so there's another headcanon of mine that like with OC
Salamence Draco, longer and peaceful wait to evolve into final stage made her bigger than common of her species

When we talk or mention prehistoric creatures, people think about mesosoic ones, mostly naming dinosaurs. Of course I love them
the most, they also started my fascination in evolution of life I stupidly keep and not stop after I've grown up, but...
I know there are way more interesting odds. Big predator birds after dinosaurs, mammal-like reptiles, big prehistoric amphibians
OR what was even before! Anomalocaris, Hallucigenia, Opabinia...just to name few aliens that were real.
That's why I tend to spam prehistoric amphibian Swampert too much and other Pokemon like that.

Now something I should mention since a lot of people ends with repeating me my way of seeing Pokemon realistically has no sense
or is too far off:

I know none of known scorpion(both modern and prehistoric) has any camouflaging outgrowths, but seriously I can't beat my first
thought about my shiny Skorupi that shiny Skorupi line is like another dangerous invertebrate predator, flower praying mantis.

I KNOW it doesn't make sense. There's logical explanation for red color: like well-known dart frogs and many red or orange colored
bugs, its bright color is a warning from containing poison. Like shiny Scolipede being SO bright.

RED SPARKLES?
Yeah...here goes my theory: as in my poke-universe shiny version DOES sparkle, maybe scorpions can recognize(?) orange-red part
of spectrum,but intense red light doesn't matter them. The red color has the longest wavelenght. For poisonous predator which would
get attacked by for example ground type which also uses sandstorms to take the advantage, such long wavelenght of sparkling light
gives higher chance to be successfull even from distance as shiny Pokemon use it to dazzle prey for a second or confuse it.
Maaayybe not perfect, but I tried.

It's interesting that the cyan parts of body doesn't change...did game creaters knew something about scorpions?!

Nah, not today. I've planned a Drapion encounter in Kalos(since it can be found there like in Sinnoh's Great Marsh, wooo~)
and I want to nail my concept based on fact Sinnoh is full of legends and folklore myths. There's never enough of them for me,
so I create my own tidbits in Pokemon World~ like for example forgotten legend about Arceus spear.
Poor Drapion, they "glorified" it with words "Ogre scorp Pokemon", why they wanted to mess up with such secretive and just mastered
by evolution predator like it?

...keep CALM like my Rose and wait for my theory about dat

Especially that I think it's gonna be long and reliable story. Wei has an elder Tropius from there that actually made her interested
in the past of Sinnoh's Great Marsh...so she did research on and found almost a horror story...that was real.
A lot of people who died because of aknowledge and forcing some predators to go drastic as they just wanted to survive from something
that Baylene, Weirda's tropius would call even...as prison.
So bad situation for both sides...but ppl will only tell that Pokemon are bad or are ogres. Very clever, very clever.

Something important to my watchers:
As you noticed, Wei's blouse has changed; I just realized something stuid, but I'll mention it in her third and final reference sheet

I think it's enough Wei was had Gligar in Sinnoh even if she didn't wanted to, but he was stubborn and adamant so....lol, poor Weirda
having good heart helped one poor hicker that lived in one place and got damaged windows because he got scared as was allergic
to vesp venom, so he considered bat scorpion would hurt him deathly if it would sting...while that Gligar just wanted to go into
the big world thanks to human.And he did, but unfortunately you won't see Razor in Kalos comic.
I cannot tell why, Wei's backstory isn't as happy as Kalos story.
At last Wei would know how to deal with another scorpion Pokemon thanks to Razor IF she would get Skorupi.

thrivia: inspiration and/or references:

First of all, I consider all or almost all shiny Pokemon are SUBSPECIES. Shiny Skorupi and its evolution are tropical subspecies
that I DUNNO THE HECK WHY I see like praying mantis which adapted to camouflage among flowers and we have Scizor which is red as
standard and that kind of camouflaging subspecies as shiny. However, that is my personal and very first impression; for real,
it has nothing to do with scorpion Pokemon subspecies. >scratches the head< yeah I know I am confusing so often...
A little detail to mention here is, Rose's "sting" actually reminds more of modern scorpion's sting than my common realistic Drapion
"tailtip". She is even more terrestrial Drapion.

-the odd far-fetched look as those mantis is spiny flower mantis fault. Go type in google and see to get what I mean.
It seriously comes to my mind when I was lookin' at my shiny Skorupi.

-gambian spotted eye flower mantis for the eyes o.o whoa, I was had to change my realistic redesign I've done before for Drapion,
because I haven't knew bugs can have such eyes...well, bugs can be stunning with their bizzare shapes...even on eyes, wow
Rose is tropical subspecies which can endure sunlight better, can be not fully noctural, but can be active in the cloudy day
or in the dense flora shadows thanks to more white on bigger eyes. Why, I'll tell the other day

-the spiral instead of simple big spot is because of mantis again, there's one species with such "eye spirals" on its wings.
I wanted to make shiny Drapion a bit more fancy you know She's my baby, I can draw her like I want~

-Euryptids of course, mostly Mixopterus, but I found good anatomical picture, unfortunately without name of certain species :C

Rose has sniper ability, not battle armour; it's not always about spikes, because ability blocks critical hits, which is rather
as the armour is thick, not so fancy in our eyes, just effective in combat
Also that's why she has so many "hair" called setae. THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE MORE NON-USEFUL YOU FIND IT 

I luv those setae on scorpions and that's why my friend from school called my scorpion and Gligar sketchs as "walking cactuses"
Drapion with Battle armour has not only more thick armour, but it's less sensitive-also to pain. Rose has ability Sniper,
so she senses better her movements or the opponent's to strike more effectively. Also, if she's tropical subspecies that often faces unfavourable
non-empty areas, bigger number of setae means she can sense/recognise better vibrations or air waves,
That's why as Skorupi she would avoid better flying types or flying type moves.
Also erm...in my Pokemon universe Pokemon are bit more like human, so like woman have more nerves in skin and are more sensitive,
I made female Drapion more sensitive too. Okay just more setae, just more setae

-YES I LOOKED AT CLOSE-UP OF SCORPION MOUTHPARTS. I also was once in museum where I was able to see prepared(?) scorpion speciment,
but WE KNOW POKEMON AREN'T ALWAYS FOLLOWING ACTUAL ANATOMY. Drapion's "mouth" is more like common sense of mouth, I TRIED
to find good balance still havin' fun. Here I did mix of Mixopterus, scorpion's mouthparts and...arachnid mouthparts. Kinda.
The down part is inspired on camel spider as that bug suprisly has interesting "mouth"  if you look from the side:

The arachnid mouthparts are especially because trust me, if I can be completely over-talkative honest,
almost every.single.time Rose uses poison fang, she badly poisons the target. Seriously, her poisoning rate is about 93% of success.
If not <95%, I'm not kiddin'.
That's why I think her upper "teeth" are more spiky as she just has better anatomy to inject poison.
DARN.
Before I learned her some new moves, she just used poison fang, then venoshock and SAYONARA...

-lastly, I know that Drapion's ability to turn by 180 degrees can be truthfully just an ability to curl up its enlogated
front half, buut I wanted to keep it to the original concept and here you have giant centipede body in it WHAT A CHIMERA
OF ALL BUG NIGHTMARES I KNOW SOOORRYYYY
(by the way, as for Pokemon which are NOT exactly like animals in my poke-universe, I find it really cool thing: Drapion mommy
can look at her scorplings, she can perfectly defend them with great precision even from strong and agile opponent that will think
it can steal even one from a group on her back. Isn't that just awesome?)

Wanna know HOW to recognise if scorpion is male or female?
Scorpions have structure called pectines which are bigger and easily noticeable for males, while they're smaller on females.
Unfortunately, I can't tell ya for what they're for; like with the fluorescence among scorpions, the function remains unknown...

Awh, Drapion seems to be mysterious Pokemon.

SUPER EXAGGERATED THRIVIA SINCE IT'S ME, WEIRDA:

YOU KNOW POKEMON WORLD IS FULL OF WEIRD MUTATIONS. Examples? Doduo, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Ninetales...just to name few creatures
were rare in real world mutations are normal there. I realized it's impossible to make Drapion's arms as scorpion arms,
because that's not enough...and those outgrowths too.

Is the thing they're TAILS something fully no sense?
Hmmm?

Opened mouth is something really hard and I KNOW Wei would look better with just a grin, but I am taking it stupidly personally
and I know I look bad with a grin drying out teeth in the air; or pretty smile or honest laugh. No grins 'cause everyone does that
